Welcome to the fifth Meetup event for WordPress Port Macquarie!
Cost: These meetups will be FREE to attend, and include pizza, so please RSVP if you plan on coming so we know how much to order 🙂
Agenda: This month Jake Jackson will teach you how to create a basic WordPress plugin. You’ll learn how to setup and install WordPress in a local development environment, install and configure Atom, an advanced Text Editor, what PHP is and how it effects WordPress, what the WordPress Hook system is and how you can build plugins using it, and finally Jake will walk you through the steps to create a simple FAQ plugin.
The slides and plugin code will be available for review after the talk.
Note: This presentation will likely be streamed live to Facebook/YouTube, so if you would like to avoid being on film, we will have seats available at the back of the room behind the camera.
Location: Dragonfly Marketing have generously donated the use of their boardroom for our monthly meetups.
Walk up the driveway on the left-hand side of 104 Horton Street, through the gate on your right, and walk up the stairs at the back to find the boardroom at the front of the building. (there will be a sign)
